Audio-Technica celebrates its 60th anniversary by re-launching its AT-727 record player which is known for its portable capabilities. It is better known as the Sound Burger and it gets a new range of hardware updates this time around to appeal to the modern listener. The Sound Burger was once known as the 'Mister Disc' and it was the transition from the iconic Sony Walkman for vinyl records, which is a battery-powered turntable that one plugs their headphones into.
The new limited-edition iteration of the Sound Burger is very close to the original design and keeps the slim clamshell silhouette that holds just the middle of the record. It shows off the record grooves along with the tone arm and has a 3.5mm output for direct analog listening.
