The Herman Miller x Naoto Fukasawa Asari chair has been created in collaboration between the furniture brand and the Tokyo-based designer as a comfortable yet stylish addition for any office.
The chair's name comes from the Japanese word for clam and features an organic form that is both organic as well as stylish to fit in well with existing office decor. The chair incorporates the sophisticated design philosophy of Fukasawa, while also fitting in neatly with Miller's existing core range of pieces. Priced starting at $1,395, the chair comes in two back heights and eight color options to choose from.
Fukasawa spoke on the Herman Miller x Naoto Fukasawa Asari chair saying, "My goal was to inspire joy and create a new form, ultimately becoming the next upholstered icon. A core part of my design ethos is to simplify the way we live, imbuing each creation with an attraction that makes people feel dear to it, a timelessness and longevity that enhances a human process.”
