Considering that paper fashion has been around for quite some time now, the Arts Thread exhibition had to really push the creative limits in order to showcase works that were captivating in both their originality and execution. Comprised of five unique paper dresses, the Arts Thread exhibit does just that.
Put together by the Wrapping Project, the Arts Thread exhibition is set to present these dresses, which were originally created for the Designer Pages event, to a larger audience. Using only fashion magazines donated by publishers, designers Grace Insogna, Stacey Robinson, Hoi Yi Li, Ezgi Engin and Ayumi Morita created wearable works of art. The magazines used included ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Wonderland and Vanity Fair. They will be presented at the Wapping Hydraulic Power Station in London.
