Medicom Toy's New Collectibles Honor Keith Harring & Jean-Michel Basquiat
Riley von Niessen — February 13, 2018 — Art & Design
Medicom Toy, the Japanese-based collectible manufacturer, recently released two artist-themed figurines, which are made to look just like Keith Harring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The vinyl dolls balance a sense of realism with a cartoon-like simplicity, with each boasting all the features, clothing, and markings that the famed artists are known for, while supplying them extra bold colors and line work to make them pop. The small figurines stand just 240mm tall, making them a great addition to the home of anyone who calls themselves a fan of either artist.
Both figurines are available in Japan where Medicom Toy's in-store location is, and each carries a price tag of approximately $80 USD, when converted from ¥8,800 JPY.
