Our Lacy WORK SHOP Joins Artek on the Artist's Stool
Our Legacy WORK SHOP works in collaboration with Artek once again on the Artist's Stool. It is made with inspiration drawn from emblems that symbolize the brand's youth energy and years in school. The stool are customized by Hank Grüner, a Stockholm-based artist and frequent collaborator with the brand. In addition to the updated stools, the joint capsule will also feature merchandise along with the furniture.
The merchandise features a hoodie, graphic tee, and a long sleeve shirt that are detailed with artwork by Grüner. At the front of the designs are hand-drawn iteration of the Our Legacy WORK SHOP logo -- the back of the pieces will display large artworks. Co-Founder Jockum Hallin explains, “What we admire and respect with Alvar Aalto and Artek’s timeless design, is the ability to exist in both worlds, to be functional and decorative at the same time."
