New Mexico-based artist Alex Chavez describes his artistic influences as "low-brow, no brow, outsider goth pop, and surrealism," amongst others, and these divergent influences have coalesced to form a creepy aesthetic entirely his own.
As an artist, Alex Chavez received technical training at Cal State Fullerton, where he majored in fine arts. Initially a painter, Alex Chavez switched to mixed media art and collage art to further represent the inner recesses of his mind's eye. And what a fortiutious transition it was.
