Kenny Scharf Teams With Levi's Workshop for 'Art in the Streets' Short Film

American street artist Kenny Scharf has teamed up with Levi’s Workshop to release a new short film promoting Scharf’s collaboration with the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary 'Art in the Streets.'
The short film shot in New York, Los Angeles, and the Museum of Contemporary Art illustrates the beauty and complexity of street art while showcasing the dangerous (legal and physical) actions street artists sometimes take to produce their work. “Art is for everyone,” says Scharf in the video,“And not just a certain few people.”
The 'Art in the Streets' promotional video was created at the Levi’s Film Workshop and co-directed by Nathan Meier and Scharf’s daughter, Malia, who are also in the process of acquiring funding for a feature-length documentary on Kenny Scharf’s career in art.
