Google's Art Filters Allow Users to Become a Work of Art

Google Arts & Culture has expanded its offerings with the introduction of a new Art Filter that gives smartphone users the ability to transform themselves into a classic painting, or sport an iconic artifact in their selfies.
The filter is accessible through the Google Arts & Culture app, which is available on both Android and iOS devices. Once they have the app installed, users just need to select the camera function through it and then choose from a series of different effects. This includes the famous self portraits of Vincent Van Gogh and Frieda Kahlo, as well as Johannes Vermeer's 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' painting. The artifacts include a traditional Samurai helmet, and an intricate Ancient Egyptian necklace.
