Luxury brand Louis Vuitton drew inspiration from the past and future when crafting the Archlight sneakers. The shoes take an influence from 90s basketball aesthetics merged with futuristic sci-fi looks. Creative director and designer Nicolas Ghesquière has an admiration for science fiction and incorporated it into the pair of shoes. The bulky silhouette still manages to exude a sleek look, even with its unconventional design details.
The range of colorways are created to resemble the different styles or different times and the unique design features an exaggerated arch on the bottom, an exaggerated tongue and heel, and lacing system. The Archlight sneakers are made from a blend of technical fabrics for the upper and sits on a foundation of an oversized rubber sole. The shoes are priced at $1,090 USD and are currently available at New York Soho, 5th Avenue and Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive locations now. The rest of the locations will have the shoes on February 23rd.
