A German company by the name of 'StayrAI' has launched an innovative and high-tech aquarium water changer that makes use of the wonders of AI algorithms in order to accurately automate water changes in aquariums, helping to ensure the well-being of aquarium-dwelling pet fish, reducing water bills and removing the hassle from manual water changing.
This aquarium water changer comprises a device that is equipped with a pair of pumps and an array of sensors. The gadget works in conjunction with a companion smartphone app that can intake data such as aquarium volume, filtration specs and fish species, with the built-in AI then creating appropriate water-changing schedules that the device can then carry out using its pump systems. While one of the pumps drains water from the aquarium, the second fills the aquarium with clean water from a nearby vessel.
Currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, the 'StayrAI Rein' is a wonderful example of how AI and automation can be applied to pet care in the home.
