Apple Added Mouse Support to iPads With Apple's New iPadOS
Daniel Johnson — June 10, 2019 — Tech
Apple's New iPadOS allows for mouse support on its iPads, enabling users to attach a USB mouse or use Apple's Magic Trackpad. Right now mouse support is available as an AssistiveTouch accessibility feature, and it is not currently known whether Bluetooth mice will be supported.
Mouse support from Apple's new iPadOS will help those who use an iPad for work to be able to get increased capabilities for their device. Although Apple does not see this device as something that will change the way most people will use their iPad. It is also stated that the move is accessibility-focused, where those who are unable to easily use a touchscreen can have an alternative. People with a medical condition that affects their motor control would struggle using a touch screen and may benefit from their device supporting a mouse.
