The Apple Watch Low Power Mode was unveiled by the brand as part of watchOS 9 to help users of the wearable enjoy longer running times when their ability to power up might be compromises.
The new feature works by being activated to immediately disable the Always On display, heart rate notifications, background heart rate measurements, background blood oxygen measurements and more. The mode also turns off incoming calls, notifications, WiFi and cellular when the user's iPhone isn't within reach.
The Apple Watch Low Power Mode is rounded out with reduced screen animation and scrolling smoothness with complications updating less frequently, and greatly reducing background app refresh. The feature within the operating system update is aimed at offering users more flexibility to keep using the wearable for longer periods, when required.
