The art of tattooing may have become extremely mainstream over the last few years, but artist Anthony Antonellis has decided to take it to another level. Instead of traditional ink, he has embedded an RFID chip into his hand so that his 'tattoo' can only be seen on a smartphone. Not only that, but Anthony Antonellis can change whatever appears on the screen at will. At the time he got the chip embedded, he had programmed it to display a rainbow gif.
Although based in New York City, Anthony Antonellis maintains that he lives and works on the Internet. This provides a bit of insight behind his unique tattoo. While the RFID chip is being used for artistic purposes, it could certainly lead to bigger and better things such as data storage.
