The conceptual 'AmeniTREES' kiosk has been designed by the Smithgroup for a design competition held The San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) to help enhance public spaces in multiple ways. The futuristic kiosk would blend seamlessly into a public area and act as a place for an array of functions or even as a washroom when in the 'ToileTREES' form. The unit could be outfitted with lush greenery that would be supported by rainwater harvesting to minimize the installations reliance on public water, which could also provide H2O for cleaning the structure, flushing toilets and more.
The conceptual 'AmeniTREES' kiosk has a changing design aesthetic that could be switched up to suit almost any public space and keep areas as efficient as possible for inhabitants and/or visitors.
