Justin Mitchell Designed the Amber KB 1 Keyboard
Product designer Justin Mitchell dreamed up the Amber KB 1 keyboard, which is a conceptual portable clamshell device that transformed smartphones into a small laptop. The device is meant to be compatible with iPhone models and the Galaxy S series by Samsung.
Justin Mitchell spoke to Dezeen about the project noting, "The Amber keyboard, or KB 1 as we are calling it, was inspired by a need to write anywhere inspiration strikes. The top clamshell is large enough to support most if not all large form factor phones and we will supply faceplates for the most common device sizes in the box." It has chunky mechanical keys and allows users to place their device into the slot to type witha Bluetooth connection.
