It's no secret that Amazon has sights set on revolutionizing the food industry with the AmazonFresh service, but the eCommerce brand is looking to expand with the announcement of the new Amazon Meal Kits.
Priced at about $10 per serving ($20 per meal for two), the meal kits from Amazon are premium in nature and are currently available in 17 different options including Steak Au Poivre with Parmesan Fries and Snap Peas, and Tacos al Pastor with Pork, amongst several others.
The Amazon Meal Kits hold a very competitive edge over other brands such as Blue Apron whose stock reportedly fell 11% once the announcement of the eCommerce brand getting into the meal kit game was released.
