Increasing eCommerce business requires expanded delivery infrastructure in order to get goods to consumers in a timely manner, which is what the Amazon 'Iris' trains aim to ensure. Conceptually designed by Martin Rico and Charles Bombardier, the electric trains would run via rail in all areas of the country in order to get goods from one location, to another. The last mile of the delivery would be completed by drone in order to eliminate the need for the goods to be trucked out from the train station and subsequently slow down the process.
The Amazon 'Iris' train could be expanded to offer delivery services to companies such as UPS and FedEx in order to further enhance the overall delivery of goods across the board.
