Amazon applied the technology used in its cashierless Amazon Go convenience stores to the first Amazon Go Grocery store of its kind. The next-gen grocery store in Seattle spans 10,400 square feet and boasts the first-ever "Just Walk Out Shopping" experience—meaning that customers can walk in, pick up what they'd like and walk out.
The staffless grocery store experience begins with but does not rely on the free Amazon Go app. Upon arriving at Amazon Go Grocery, people will scan the QR code to gain entry.
