London startup company Electronic Materials Company introduces its new Altar 1 keyboard, which is a minimally designed very low-profile mechanical keyboard. It is charged using a USB-C cable and is able to deliver power to a 200mAh cell battery that can ultimately be used wirelessly through Bluetooth connectivity.
Every single piece of the Alter 1 keyboard boasts a sustainable theme as it is made from post-consumer waste. This is an extension of the company's ethos which is 'sustainability is luxury.' It is communicated by the bold mission statement reading: “The world is fucked unless we, collectively, do something about it.” The keyboard will start shipping out later this year during the Fall season with world iterations made available.
