In an effort to make baking mixes more inclusive for people who adhere to a gluten-free diet, Trader Joe’s has debuted a new Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookie Baking Mix.
When it comes to cookie mixes, most pre-packaged versions are made with flour, butter, and eggs. This means that people who are dairy-free or gluten-free are unable to eat them. Trader Joe's believes no one should be left out when it comes to cookie mixes, so it created the Trader Joe’s Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookie Baking Mix. This gluten-free mix is made with almond flour, blended with a bit of coconut flour and tapioca starch. The mix is also made with non-dairy semi-sweet chocolate chips made from only cane sugar, cocoa mass, and cocoa butter. The rest of the ingredients are added by the consumer themselves, so they can use a non-dairy beverage if they wish.
