This Series of Heartwarming Airbnb Ads Highlights Human Kindness
Rebecca Byers — July 23, 2015 — World
Hosted by former BBC news anchor Peter Sissons, the heartwarming Airbnb ad series seeks to change negative views held by British citizens regarding the generosity and selflessness of other human beings. Part of the brand's larger #Mankind campaign, the Airbnb Daily Kindness Bulletin is a newscast highlighting positive stories that will air exclusively on YouTube between July 22 and 28, 2015.
The Airbnb ads were inspired by research conducted by project consultant Dr. Emiliana Simon-Thomas of the Greater Good Science Center at UC, Berkeley. Dr. Simon-Thomas' research suggested that two thirds of Brits believe society has become more unkind in their lifetime.
In the first installment of Airbnb's Daily Kindness Bulletin, we meet an individual who has successfully learned to walk again, a lovely birthday party for 116-year-old woman and several more.
