The Air Jordan IV Motorsports Pays Tribute to MJ's Racing Team
Michael Hines — March 23, 2017 — Autos
Nike has announced that it will be releasing a limited run of the Air Jordan IV Motorsports. The sneaker was originally created back in 2006 and was only available to a select group of people. Said group wasn't made up of sneakerheads but rather members of the Michael Jordan Motorsports Superbike team. The white, black and blue colorway comes from the team's colors. Said colors were sourced from the University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team where Jordan starred in college.
Unlike the first run, the new Air Jordan IV Motorsports will be available to the public, with a rumored price of $190. Like the original shoes this reissue will be made in extremely limited numbers. The price is significantly more affordable than what current copies of the original shoes go for -- one pair was put for sale back in 2015 for an outstanding $30,000.
