The Sibel Health 'ADAM' sensor has been developed for patients with chronically itchy skin as a way for them to prevent themselves from mindlessly scratching in the night as they sleep. The Advanced Acoustic-Mechanic (ADAM) sensor is equipped with a microprocessor alongside a Bluetooth model, haptic feedback motor, inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a rechargeable battery. The compact wearable will utilize an artificial intelligence (AI)-based algorithm to analyze the user in real-time throughout the night to determine if they are scratching and trigger the vibrating feedback to stop without actually waking them up.
The Sibel Health 'ADAM' sensor is currently being commercial developed through a partnership with the Japan-based Maruho company that focuses on dermatological technology.
