MSCHF's AC.1 Sneakers Highlights an Experimental Supportive Look

Fashion imprint MSCHF introduces its new AC.1 sneaker that is made with inspiration from the look of medical boots that are prescribed for those that have broken feet or sprained ankles. The shoes are made from flexible molded rubber materials and features ankle support with the help of a dual-airbag sole unit, a high-traction grippy outsole, and a removable water-resistant bootie.
Speaking about the new look, Co-Founder Daniel Greenburg states, "The first time I ever saw someone wearing a walking boot I thought it looked incredible [...] We've collectively aestheticized glasses but the trend of functional medical accessories making the leap to fashion seems to have lagged. No longer. Let's push the envelope on what footwear is; footwear should be anything that you wear on your feet."
