Acclaimed manufacturer of analogue and digital audio consoles, Solid State Logic (SSL), announced the release of its first dedicated studio audio interfaces, the SSL 2 and SSL 2+. The company is looking to reformat the same qualities from its sought after line of analog mixing consoles into the personal studio market.
When it comes to the SSL 2, the unit boasts 2-in/2-out analogue mic preamps, 24-bit/192kHz conversion, monitor mix control, and balanced monitor inputs. For more functionality, the 2+ model includes an additional production hub feature for a second headphone output, independent monitor mix, MIDI I/O, and secondary output for DJ Mixers. Both provide a Legacy 4k mode applied to the input signal, derived from the company's SSL 4000 series consoles, to add more analog character.
Each system ships with the SSL Production Pack software bundle, including the company's native plugins. The audio interfaces are currently available through SSL's website, with the SSL 2 is available for $229.99 USD, and SSL 2+ is available for $279.99 USD.
