It’s refreshing to see something genuine in the fashion world like real women being cast as runway models as was the case in the Rick Owens Fall 2014 runway show.
This is the second season running that the label chooses to feature real women, and just a couple of models, for their runway show.
Using women of all ages, races and sizes, the Rick Owens Fall 2014 runway show is inspirational because of its diverse casting and because it shows what real women in all their shapes and sizes really look like in designer clothes. While models like Hanne Gaby Odiele and Alana Zimmer helped show what the clothes looked like on models.
The all-black collection features a lot of the designer’s signature draped sheaths, cape-like outerwear and leather knee-high sneakers.
