This marvelously woven 3D-printed lamp was created by a robotic arm that meticulously wove together the thin fibers. The Fiber Pattern Lamp is designed in orb-like shapes which add to the surreal look of the modern lighting.
Using a software program, Atelier Robotiq designers made the precise patterns of the lamps. Those patterns are then 3D-printed onto wooden sculptures that set their shapes, slide out from inside once the lamps are complete. The lightweight fibers used produce a lamp that incredibly weighs less than an iPhone 6.
The open and airy 3D-printed lamps allow for a lot of light to filter out into a surrounding space as well as cast interesting shadows across the room.
