These mind-bending 2D lamps are intriguing pieces of home decor that function both as light units as well as deceiving optical illusions. The Tel Aviv 'Studio Cheha' created the 'Bulbing' lighting gimmicks as a fun way to provide light while also sparking conversation.
The three additions to the design company's lighting collection include the DESKi, ZIGGi and CLASSi. They all are built with a thin wooden stand that encloses a flat 2D LED light as opposed to a traditional circular light bulb. Instead of a round shade, the LED emits light sideways that is filtered through acrylic glass etchings that are based on the standard wire frame of a lampshade.
