2011 is shaping up to be a huge year for high-end automobile models and Maserati is not willing to miss that boat (or car...or whatever).
Pictures have been released and Maserati officials have said the Gran Turismo Spyder, with its foldable soft top (weight reduction), will be in showrooms in March of next year.
The car is expected to sport a price tag of around $130,000 (USD) which will pit it against rivals Mercedes Benz SL, Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, BMW M6 Cabrio, and Jaguar XKR Convertible.
The Maserati Gran Turismo Spyder will comfortably compete with other 2011 models with its 434hp 4.7L V8 engine.
As far as these road warriors go, buckle up for next year's class.
