11Boxes by Keiji Ashizawa Design took the simple idea of stacking boxes on top of each other and turned it into a modern modular building. The designers connected the boxes with a series of zig-zagging staircases and crossbeams.
The design looks awesome in the twilight hours of the photo, but the daylight image may not tell the same story. Too often, these modern designs just look like rows of boring blocks under the midday sun. Let’s not be pessimistic, though. Certainly, 11Boxes by Keiji Ashizawa Design looks awesome at night, and that’s saying a lot.
