The 111 Navy Chair is a Refreshing Design for the Summer
Alex Scott — April 1, 2010 — Art & Design
If you like the look of the 111 Navy Chair but are wondering just how the hell you would sit on it, never fear, the gaint ice cube containing it is only part of the ad campaign. That being said, the frozen block is really only the second most interesting aspect about this piece of furniture.
The really cool thing is that it is made out of old recycled Coke bottles. Design firm Emeco collaborated with Coca Cola to create the 111 Navy Chair which consists of 111 recycled bottles. Bet you’ve never seen discarded pop containers look quite so pretty.
