The idea of shared spaces has taken on a life of its own thanks to the vision of Airbnb, the growing freelance community and the adoption of open offices. While the culture of sharing has evolved quite a bit over the years, a focus on public and private places for both living and working shows that this is only for the better.
Whether the shared spaces address the homeless issue running rampant around the world or simply provides a office-like environment for independent entrepreneurs, the sense of community derived from such initiatives is heartwarming. Yet the shared spaces are also incredibly practical -- saving people money while also making a lower impact on the environment.
