The top September 2016 eco transportation ideas strive to have consumers seeing sustainable vehicles at the same level as some of the most luxurious, fast or efficient models on the market. In terms of appearance, an example of this is that Nissan released an all-gold version of its Gold Leaf EV in honor of this year's Olympic Games in Rio.
While it's a common misconception that sustainable products of any kind will yield poor performance, there are a few innovative automotive products that are out to prove that eco-friendly features do not detract from a vehicle's speed. Recently, the Genovation Extreme Electric Car set a new land speed world record of 330 kmh. Similarly, the Atieva Edna van was pitted against a BMW i8 and a Dodge Viper in a drag race and won.
