From Playful Programmable Bots to Glittery Action Figures

It is safe to say that there are a lot more robot toys geared towards boys than there are robot toys for girls. Yet Kickstarter and other independent funding avenues has made it apparent that parents want to expose their little girls to objects that foster an appreciation for technology and science just as it is for boys.
This online awareness is driving companies to create more robot toys for girls. Whether introducing softer colors that would appeal to girls primed to still choose pinks over blues or designing a toy such as a cute and cuddly puppy that would appeal to both genders, there are many ways to introduce robot toys for girls. Many of these creations are also fostering programming skills that will be very useful in the future.
