From Burger Chain Buses to Autonomous Car Deliveries
Mishal Omar — October 29, 2017 — Autos
October 2017 transportation trends reveal branded fast food initiatives, as well as continued innovations in the emerging industry of autonomous cars.
An example of the former is Burger King's branded bus that was created to promote the brand's first-ever location just outside of Brussels, Belgium. The branded bus was created in a collaboration with the transport company De Lijn, and offered free rides to the Burger King location in Auderghem.
An example of the latter is Semcon's 'Born to Drive' Initiative which turns standard cars into autonomous delivery vehicles. The initiative is yet to be introduced to the market and is currently in its prototype phase, but the software created to turn standard cars into autonomous ones includes the improvement of sensors and smart systems that are found in many modern cars.
