From 3D-Printed Heels to Urban Explorer Boots
Riley von Niessen — October 28, 2017 — Fashion
Featured in these October 2017 footwear trends are a variety of sneakers, heels, function-focused boots, casual slip-ons, and more.
One of the more unconventional releases that's spotlighted is 'The Kingslayer,' which was made by KOIO in collaboration with HBO in honor of the newest season of 'Game of Thrones.' The luxurious-looking gold sneakers are named after the character Jaime Lannister, who received the title of Kingslayer after killing the Mad King. Although the shiny gold uppers and matching soles give the sneakers a statement aesthetic, the monochrome colorway prevents them from being too overwhelming.
Also featured are the 'Oktoberfest' sneakers from adidas Originals, which were made to repel the beer spills that will be nearly impossible to avoid during the German drinking event. While the sneakers were made specifically for unruly beer drinkers, the neutral look of them and the protective finish make them great to wear year-round.
