From Embroidered Rabbit's Ears to Cross-Stitched Physicians
Marissa Brassfield — August 29, 2009 — Art & Design
You might think that needlepoint is a craft most widely practiced by grandmas, but these nifty needlepoint creations prove that this DIY art is more than just thread.
From embroidered rabbit's ears to geeky cross-stitch and knitted rooms, it's clear that needlepoint needn't be boring. My favorite is the subversive cross-stitch projects, as seen here to the right.
Implications - All of the embroidery seen here can truly be called an art form with all of the detail that goes into making creations such as the mind-boggling knitted rooms and the embroidered anatomies. A hobby that may seem like something quite boring has been transformed into something spectacular, artistic and fun to look at.
