From Splattered Metallic Mirrors to Reflective Aurora Lamps

In renaissance art, depictions of mirrors often stood as metaphors for vanity, but the wealth of fascinating mirror concepts on display in the design world show that the reflective piece of decor is more than a tool for narcissism. Mirrors do indeed serve as a way for people to gaze upon themselves, but creative mirror concepts can get people to see the entire space in a new light.
Some of the mirror concepts listed here are primarily for helping people see themselves better. For instance, the 'Hex Corner Mirror' uses an inventive right-angled shape to allow people to simultaneously see their images straight on and in profile.
On the other hand, there are plenty of mirror concepts that explicitly distort people's images, such as the 'Fragments' installation or the 'Mashing Mesh' mirror.
