Indian tech graduates and companies have come up with a number of smart innovations that have given the country an excellent reputation around the world as a tech hub.
While many Indian tech projects are spawned by Indian innovators' desire to tackle the country's internal challenges, many have since been shown to have interesting and important applications on a global scale. For example, many green technology innovations borne out of the challenge of satiating an energy-starved economy are applicable in other countries and environments.
A significant number of Indian tech innovations also have to do with producing inexpensive versions of existing products and services, ranging from consumer laptops to satellite launch services.
