From Swamp Monster Welcome Mats to Anti-Social Welcome Mats
Laura McQuarrie — August 20, 2013 — Art & Design
The threshold of your home is one of the most important parts of making a memorable first impression on your house guests, but these unfriendly doormats aren't doing much welcoming.
Typical doormats usually bear greetings to the people that wipe their feet on them. Doormats like these take the opposite approach and offer warnings and attempt to ward off next-door neighbors and thieves.
Some of these anti-social mats attempt to scare away visitors with artful transformations that make doormats look like sewer grates and the monsters that lurk beneath. But if efforts like these still fail to scare off pesky neighbors, you could always take a direct approach and display a doormat that reads: "Go Away."
