The latest Beyonce album has graced the public with absolutely no warning. The pop diva dropped her fifth solo effort, titled 'Beyonce,' via iTunes last night. The LP features some big names, including Drake, Frank Ocean, her famous hubby Jay-Z and their adorable daughter Blue Ivy. What sets the album apart from Beyonce's previous musical endeavours is the fact that each song is accompanied by a visual component. In fact, there are 14 tracks and 17 music videos, making it an exclusive "visual album."
In a press release discussing her surprising release, Beyonce explained, “I see music. It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies.”
As for the medium of the release, Beyonce notes she wanted a more direct form of communication with her fans.
