While there are some incredibly advanced smartphone cameras on the market, as well as countless apps to enhance one's photographic skills, there's a renewed interest in charming, low-tech image-capturing devices. Some of the best examples of this are creations from custom Polaroid analog camera makers, the KODAK Mobile Film Scanner and the Alulu Camera, which sets itself apart as a sustainable instant camera that uses receipt paper for printing. A large-scale, fully functional camera and working darkroom was also set up in the UK out of a shipping container as part of a community-centered portrait project.
