Our fine-feathered friends have been an inspiration to mankind for thousand of years. Their dynamic flying abilities inspired humans to create airplanes. In the case of Charles Darwin, one of many species found on the Galapagos Islands of which sparked him to write about evolution.
Their excrement was used in beauty rituals of long ago and some still use it today. Whether colorful or dull in appearance, they’ve evoked fashion design trends, some brilliant and others hideous.
Most of our birdtastic articles involve innovations for humans. However, we cannot leave out the little birdies! Glass and backpack birdcages, avian apartments, as well as clothes for bird, are ways some people have shown their love for them.
Birds in Order of Appearance (World Bird Guide): Rainbow Lorikeet, Red-Crested Flyer, Ostrich, Pelican, Red-Billed TropicBird, Flamingo, Southern Cassowary (truly dinosaur looking!), Red-Tailed Cockatoo, Tawny-Bellied Hermit and the Crescent-Chested Puffbird.
