These 2017 computer trends range from credit card-sized PCs to triptych laptop screens. While examples like the Intel Compute Card offer up to 4GB of additional RAM while featuring WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, Razer's 'Project Valerie' is a three-screened laptop which aims to enhance gamers' and designers' digital experience. Making its debut at tech conference CES 2017, the Project Valerie device features two extension screens which expand from its central dashboard to offer a continuous, high-resolution display.
Other computer innovations that gained attention this past year include designer Casmis Valeri's Surface Smartphone concept. Though not yet realized for consumers, the conceptual device condenses the Microsoft Surface tablet's capabilities into a compact and sleek phone. The conceptual device also boasts a modular design, much like its larger sister device with a removable protection screen that can be customized to fit a user's unique needs.
