Stüssy and Artisan Project Drop the Boucherouite T-Shirt Rugs
Stüssy works in collaboration with Artisan Project on the second capsule of Boucherouite T-Shirt Rugs -- these are available to shop online at Stüssy and at select chapter stores. Artisan Project is a range of passionate individuals which is headed by Nina Mohammad, a Palestinian-American textile designer.
This marks the second collection of boucherouite rugs and it is made using upcycled Stüssy t-shirts and wool that is collected from the Atlas Mountains. Mohammed designed these with inspiration from a plethora of muses. This includes the beauty of nature, vintage graphics, art, and ancestral rugs. The visuals replicate the looks of water, flora, and aerial landscapes. The rugs were woven by the Ain Leuh Women's Cooperative in Morocco depending on ancient cultural practices.
