The Yellow House is located in the Apple Garden in Oslo, Norway and it recently got a refreshing design update by locally based design duo Familien Kvistad. The home is defined by brightly tonal tiles and textiles throughout the space with a renovation that changes the original 50s home in the city's Voldsløkka area -- it is home to a family of four and their pet cat.
The founders of the studio are a married couple Ziemoqit and Astrid Kvistad and they have entirely remodeled the interior with a bright palette with speckled terrazzo and solid ash. The duo explains, "When they bought the house, the family envisioned painting some walls, moving the kitchen and building two new bathrooms. Over time, things naturally escalated, resulting in a complete change of layout, roof windows, new insulation, siding... absolutely everything was replaced."
