Ybrain is a Korean-made headband that helps mitigate symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.
The Ybrain device consists of a headband embedded with a pair of sensors. The sensors emit electronic signals which stimulate specific areas of the brain to counteract symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. The device is meant to be used for half an hour a day for five days and a week and can be used at home. Aside from Alzheimer's patients, the headband is also intended for use by people with milder cognitive impairments.
Initial clinical trials suggest that the Ybrain may be 20% to 30% more effective than oral medication for Alzheimer's patients. The device will be available for purchase online and through hospitals once clinical trials are complete and the product is registered with the FDA.
