Self-Designed Monochrome Studios

Post- Cleverly Differentiates its Workspace Design with Paint

This Perth workspace design differentiates working areas as white and hallways as black. The refurbished two-level building not only hosts Post-'s own architecture studio, but an artist gallery for Jordy Hewitt and a non-profit called Spacemarket run by Post-.

The monochrome theme of the workspace design continues with slow spaces and fast spaces, where the former is "tall, soft and bright" and the latter is "dark and compressed" according to Post- Founder Nic Brundson. In addition to the clever usage of paint, the studio features rows of skylights on the angled ceilings that provide natural light to the rooms below. The space also celebrates previous tenants with old wall bottom plates and being conscious about materials.

The workspace design was photographed by Vanity Projects.
