Created by Column Five Media for the global association Good, the chart cites that around 50% of the population does indeed recycle on a daily basis, but many don’t recycle consistently, and 13% don’t do it at all. While a large majority of respondents admitted that they realize the benefits of not throwing something away, many did not know what could be recycled or that doing so was too inconvenient so they just didn’t bother. The most green-friendly in the country were college grads and adults over the age of 55.
Recycling items rather than pitching them in the trash can help reduce the build up in landfills, create jobs and make money as well as saving tress and energy.
