With so many ad campaigns out there, it's hard to make an impression on mass audience's but Burger King's newest 'Whopper Blackout' commercial breaks the mold in a unique and hilarious way. Buzzman, an independent ad agency, filmed a mockumentary to give the public an idea of what might have happened when the Whopper Blackout of 1997 to 2012 occurred in France.
The docucomedy is filled with flashbacks to the early days of the blackout with panicked crowds reacting to the news that BK was exiting out of France. The film covers a wide range of tragic (and fictitious) topics including the Whopper black market and features solemn interviews with the many people who were affected by the blackout.
While the satire of the Burger King's new film hits touchy subjects like drug abuse, one can't deny the sticky and memorable qualities funny ad campaigns like the clever one have on its viewers.
